Awesome Church Signs!!!

It's Strange isn't it?

Isn't it strange
how a 20 dollar bill seems like such a large amount when you donate it to church,
but such a small amount when you go shopping?

Isn't it strange
how 2 hours seem so long when you're at church,
and how short they seem when you're watching a good movie?

Isn't it strange
that you can't find a word to say when you're praying but..
you have no trouble thinking what to talk about with a friend?

Isn't it strange
how we need to know about an event for Church 2-3 weeks
before the day so we can include it in our agenda,
but we can adjust it for other events in the last minute?

Isn't it strange
how difficult it is to learn a fact about God to share it with others;
but how easy it is to learn, understand, extend and repeat gossip?

Isn't it strange
how we believe everything that magazines and newspapers say but...

we question the words in the Bible?

Isn't it strange
how everyone wants a place in heaven but....
they don't want to believe, do, or say anything to get there?

Isn't it strange
how we send jokes in e-mails and they are forwarded right away but
when we are going to send messages about God,
we think about it twice before we share it with others?

Interesting thought from an email today :)

Mary Had a Little Lamb

Mary had a little lamb,
His fleece was white as snow.
And everywhere that Mary went,
The lamb was sure to go.
He followed her to school each day,
Twasn't even in the rule.
He made the children laugh and play.
To have a lamb at school.
And the rules all changed one day,
Illegal it became;
To bring the Lamb of God to school,
Or even speak His name.
Everyday got worse and worse,
And days turned into years.
Instead of hearing children laugh,
We heard gun shots and tears.
What must we do to stop the crim.
That's in our schools today?
Let's let the Lamb come back to school,
And teach our kids to pray!

Another email from my grandmother!
(I didn't not creat this poem, but it's pretty cool :) )

Rain- An email from www.passionup.com

It was one of the hottest days of the dry season.  We had not seen rain in almost a month.  The crops were dying.  Cows had stopped giving milk.  The creeks and streams were long gone back into the earth.  It was a dry season that would bankrupt several farmers before it was through.

Every day, my husband and his brothers would go about the arduous process of trying to get water to the fields.  Lately this process had involved taking a truck to the local water rendering plant and filling it up with water.  But severe rationing had cut everyone off.  If we didn't see some rain soon...we would lose everything.  It was on this day that I learned the true lesson of sharing and witnessed the only miracle I have seen with my own eyes.  I was in the kitchen making lunch for my husband and his brothers when I saw my six-year-old son, Billy, walking toward the woods.  He wasn't walking with the usual carefree abandon of a  youth but with a serious purpose.  I could only see his back.  He was obviously walking with a great effort... Trying to be as still as possible.  Minutes after he disappeared into the woods, he can running out again, toward the house.  I went back to making sandwiches; thinking that whatever task he had been doing was completed.  Moments later, however, he was once again walking in that slow purposeful stride toward the woods.  This activity went on for an hour: walking carefully to the woods, running back to the house.

Finally I couldn't take it any longer and I crept out of the house and followed him on his journey (being very careful not to be seen... as he was obviously doing important work and didn't need his mommy checking up on him).  He was cupping both hands in front of him as he walked, being very careful not to spill the water he held in them...maybe two or three tablespoons were held in his tiny hands.  I sneaked close as he went into the woods.  Branches and thorns slapped his little face, but he did not try to avoid them.  He had a much higher purpose.  As I leaned in to spy on him, I saw the most amazing site.

Several large deer loomed in from of him.  Billy walked right of to them.  I almost screamed for him to get away.  I huge buck with elaborate antlers was dangerously close.  But the buck did not threaten him...he didn't even move as bully knelt down.  And I saw a tiny fawn lying on the ground; obviously  suffering from dehydration and heat exhaustion, lift its head with great effort to lap up the water cupped in my beautiful boy's hand.  When the water was gone, billy jumped up to run back to the house and I hid behind a tree.

I followed him back to the house to a spigot to which we had shut off the water.  Billy opened it all the way up and a small trickle began to creep out.  He knelt there, letting the drip, drip slowly fill up his makeshift "cup,"  As the sun beat down on his little back.  And it cam clear to me:  The trouble he had gotten into for playing with the hose the week before.  The lecture he had received about the importance of not wasting water.  The reason he didn't ask me to help him.  It took almost twenty minutes for the drops to fill his hands.  When he stood up and began the trek back, I was there in front of him.

His little eyes just filled with tears.  "I'm not wasting," was all he said.  As he began his was, I joined him... with a small pot of water from the kitchen.  I let him tend to the fawn.  I stayed away.  It was his job.  I stood on the edge of the woods watching to most beautiful heart I have ever known working so hard to save another life.  As the tears that rolled down my face began to hit the ground, other drops... and more drops...and more drops...and more suddenly joined them.  I looked up as the sky.  It was as if God, himself, was weeping with pride.

Some will probably say that this was a huge coincidence.  That those miracles don't really exist.  That it was bound to rain sometime.  And I can't argue with that... I'm not going to try.  All I can say is that the rain that came that day saved our farm...just like the actions of one little boy saved another...

That's God

Have you even been just sitting there and all of a sudden you feel like doing something nice for someone you care for?

That's God!  He speaks to you through the Holy Spirit

Have you ever been down and out and nobody seems to be around for you to talk to?

That's God!  He wants you to speak to him.

Have you ever been thinking about somebody that you haven't seen in a long time and then next thing you know you seen them or receive a phone call from them?

That's God!  There's no such thing as coincidence.

Have you ever received something wonderful that you didn't even ask for, like money in the mail, a debt that had mysteriously been cleared, or a coupon to a department store where you had just seen something you wanted, but couldn't afford.

That's God.  He now the desires of your heart..

Have you even been in a situation and you had no clue how it is going to get better, but now you look back on it?

That's God!  He passes us through tribulation to see a brighter day....

Don't tell God how big your storm is.
Tell the storm how big your God is!

Have a blessed day!

GOD LOVES YOU!

America's Next Top Model Cycle 16- The Hannah Project

Wow, Yes, I know that this ANTM was over and done with a long time ago.  However, it takes me a while to do things and I am trying to fix that. :) So here is my thought bubble for today:

Hannah, a beautiful gorgeous girl.  She is wearing a stunning dress and an elaborate hairstyle with makeup that makes this look the way it does.  This was her final picture that was picked from her film that day.  The judges didn't like it.  They said she had no form what so ever and, basically, this picture sucked.  I didn't think much of it until I saw this:

Jennifer Aniston models in a car.  Now, at first, I was all like, "What the heck, they printed this photo but hated hannah's?"  It didn't make sense to me, and I felt like they were being two-faced about the modeling industry and that they didn't really know what they were talking about.

My husband informed me that the reason why the commercial model industry liked Jennifer's was because she wasn't all boney.  She was sitting up straight, and didn't look like a prostitute.  I guess I can understand that, and I see that a little bit.  I must admit that Jennifer's photo does look a lot better; but what do you expect?  Hannah was wearing a rediculous hair style with makeup that no one will probably ever wear out in public....I'm starting to see the farce in high fashioned industry.....

Two Traveling Angels

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family.

The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room.

Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement.

As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it..

When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied,

"Things aren't always what they seem"

The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife.

After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest.

When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears.

Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field.

The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you have let this happen?
The first man had everything, yet you helped him, she accused.

The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die..

"Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied.

"When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall.

Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it."

"Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife I gave him the cow instead.

Things aren't always what they seem."

Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things  don't turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that
every outcome is always to your advantage. You just might not know it until sometime later...

Today is a gift.
That's why it's called the present!

I think this is special...live and savor every

      Right Now -

-somebody is thinking of you.
-somebody is caring about you.
-somebody misses you
-somebody wants to talk to you.
-somebody wants to be with you.
-somebody hopes you aren't in trouble.
-somebody is thankful for the support you have provided.
-somebody wants to hold your hand.
-somebody hopes everything turns out all right.
-somebody wants you to be happy.
-somebody wants you to find him/her.
-somebody is celebrating your successes.
-somebody wants to give you a gift.
-somebody thinks that you ARE a gift.
-somebody loves you.
-somebody admires your strength.
-somebody is thinking of you and smiling.
-somebody wants to be your shoulder to cry on.

Never take away anyone's hope.  That may be all they have.

Happy New Years!

Wow, I can't believe 2012 is actually here!

So much has happens this past year that are completely amazing!  For one, I got married!  I joined the Air Force!  The two major things!  Oh!  And I paid off my car!  I have a level 85 Dranei Warrior in World of Warcraft, I got to go to CBS 11 News Studio; So many things!  Oh!  I also got super drunk one time.  I have discovered that I am a happy, sarcastic, sad drunk.  Hmm...

The last thing that John and I did for the year of 2011 was go to the Fort Worth Science museum.  it was completely re done!  However, it was DEFinitly geared towards children.  We went and saw an IMAX movie about the Hubble space telescope, we watched a planetarium show about black holes, we saw a tornado form, and we got to take a close and personal look at George Washington's dentures WHICH, by the way are NOT made out of wood at all!  So, why in the world do people say they were?

So, what does the 2012 year have in store for me?  Hopefully not the end of the world like everyone says.  Of course, how would they know?  The Bible says that no one knows. But, as far as I'm concerned this is what I have in store for the new year:

1. Learn the ranks of the AF before basic
2. Get to 115 Pounds before Basic
3. Do 5 pull ups before basic
4. Do 40 push ups in one minute before basic
5. Do 60 push ups in one minute before basic
6. Run 11/2 miles in 10:55 minutes before basic
7. Be able to run for 30 Minutes at a decent pace
8. Be able to sprint at a decent pace
9. Get in touch with God at some point in the day alone.  I need that quiet time again.
10. Finish all my video projects
11. Get ready for the day in ten minutes time before basic
12. Catch up on my drawing skills.
13. Keep up with my blog and twitter.

Those are just some of them, and yes, a lot have to do with the Air Force.  This is my time to prove to the world that I am an adult.  I feel like most of the time everyone thinks that I'm just a kid.  And to tell you the truth I feel that way a lot.  I feel like I never had a chance to grow into adulthood like everyone else did.  This is my time.  I am married now and have a great career ahead of me.  God is on my side, and I know that I am not the best christian out there, but who is?  Yes, I drink on occasion, I say words that probably aren't pleasing to God, and I can be so rude and judgemental.  If I was ever judgmental to anyone in the past, I apologize wholeheartedly and I hope you can forgive me.  Who am I to judge and who am I to say that I am better than everyone else, because I'm not.  Thank God for his forgiveness.  I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for Him and His salvation.

So, yep.  The first blog entry of the new year!  January 1, 2012!   Happy New Years everyone!  Let's give 2012 a ride for its money, shall we?

First kiss of the 2012 year!
